The Grand Opening Day of the Kauai Polo Club 2002 season will be this Sunday at the Anini Beach Polo grounds in Kaua’i.
After a high goal match at 3 p.m., social members are invited to a BBQ.
The gate will open at 2 p.m. with adult tickets priced at $7.50 and persons under 18 years-old pay $5.00. Social Membership Fees remain unchanged.
This year, the Kauai Polo Club welcomes back Dori Weymouth and her team, including Hawaii’s highest rated player, Kimo Huddleston.
All time favorite Herman Louis DeCoite will be on hand to play and possibly Ka’aina DeCoite, depending on his schedule.
Now that Stuart Mackenzie is making his home on Kauai, look for him on the field.
Tom Goodspeed is bringing a team from San Diego, and some of the best women players in the country will play June 23rd and June 30th.
The Oahu team is planning on some matches on Kaua’i.
The Kauai Polo Club will be playing USPA sanctioned matches, the Kaua’i Open, and several other Cup matches. The Tailgate Competition is scheduled for August 25th.
Special social member events include a Preakness Day Party at Ron Bonaguidi’s home on Hanalei Bay, a Brandywine Party by Dori Weymouth, and a BBQ by Mike Sheehan.
