RENO, Nev. – Mike Hass, Mike Gillies and JaRell McIntyre each drove in two runs as Nevada defeated Hawaii 11-2 Sunday in the second game of their three-game Western Athletic Conference series.
The Wolf Pack (24-29, 9-17 WAC) scored three runs in the seventh inning to break a 2-2 tie and followed up with six runs in the eighth, dropping the Rainbows (16-36, 5-21) to their worst record in school history.
James Holcomb (3-6) gave up two runs in seven innings to pickup the win. Hawaii’s Ricky Bauer (1-8) recorded the loss by giving up four runs and nine hits in six 2/3 innings of work.
