More and more patients are asking for cosmetic dental procedures, and that has led many different professionals, from cosmetic dentists to facial plastic surgeons, to combine their skills in cosmetic clinical cases.
This has led to the modern-day, inter-disciplinary approach to fine smile design, said Dr. Clyde Ishida of Kapa’a.
Ishida earlier this month attended the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry’s (AACD) 18th Annual Scientific Session on O’ahu, where the latest advances in cosmetic dentistry were discussed, he said.
While there, he attended several educational seminars, from hands-on workshops focusing on specific clinical procedures, to another sharing information on how a small percentage of dentists worldwide have achieved AACD accreditation.
“I am excited to have attended the educational week,” Ishida said.
“The cutting-edge education I receive through the AACD allows me to excel in cosmetic dentistry and provide the best possible care for my patients.”
The AACD is the world’s largest organization dedicated specifically to cosmetic dentistry. It educates its members through annual scientific sessions, its Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry magazine, and many other channels, Ishida added.
Ishida’s practice is on Kukui Street in Kapa’a.
