The varying divisions posted a series of tough games, but in many cases, the winner took the contest by a comfortable margin.
First, a report on the boy’s division:
In the singles division, 10’s Novice – Mikaiah Vea defeated Chas Okamoto 8-2. In 12’s Open – Brennan Yamamoto defeated Justin Vea 6-0, 6-2, In 14’s Novice – Sascha Rachner topped Cory Napoleon 6-4, 7-5 In 14’s Open – Kyle Barrett defeated Sascha Rachner 6-1, 6-0. In 16’s Novice – Kyle Mahoney topped Justin Nagai 6-1, 6-0. In 16’s Open – Alex Latif beat Michael Hirahara 6-1, 6-0. In 18’s Novice – Ronald Hosaka defeated Joshua Miyamoto 6-3, 6-3
In the Girls Divisions:
In 10’s Novice, Cherine Ito beat Sarah Kukino 8-6. In 12’s Novice – Round Robin – 1st Crystine Ito/2nd Tiffany Lum – 14’s Novice – Shawna Tamayose topped Tiffany Lum 7-5, 6-0. And in 14’s Open, Joelle Yamamoto beat Lyndsey Tom 6-1, 6-0.
