Jennifer Olpoc gets help from Kaua’i Community College provost Peggy Cha in positioning the plaque bearing Olpoc’s name on the perpetual trophy after Olpoc was named the KCC Student Assistant of the Year during a scholarship reception held Thursday, April 11, at the KCC Dining Room.
Finalists for the top honor included Leila Fu, Malia Guerra, Jarrae Tehani Puni, and Olpoc. As top student assistant, Olpoc receives a full tuition waiver, a $100 certificate from the KCC Bookstore, and other prizes as well as having the perpetual trophy displayed at her workplace for a year.
