After learning Saturday morning that she had been reported missing, Bonnie Salter, 22, phoned home.
She had been staying in the Princeville area, said Lt. Alvin Seto of the Kauai Police Department.
Salter last contacted her family two weeks ago, on Saturday, March 9, and when word reached her that she had been reported missing and her family was worried about her, she promptly called her mom in California.
Mother Molly Salter, predictably, was instantly relieved. “We are her family and are most pleased that she was found so quickly and safely through the good work of Ms. (Claire) Ueno of the Kauai Police Department,” Molly Salter said.
“We thank the people of the island of Kaua’i for their concern in finding our daughter and her safety,” the elder Salter said.
