SPECIAL TO TGI
The Kapa’a Boys and Girls Club is hoping the community will help renovate its Kapa’a clubhouse, located next to the Kapa’a High School gym on Kawaihau Road.
As part of the renovations, the club wants to replace worn-out couches and easy chairs with donated new furniture or used furniture that’s in good condition. The donation of a refrigerator would also be appreciated, officials said.
In addition, security bars are needed for the windows.
As part of the renovation project, volunteers can help paint the interior and exterior of the clubhouse on March 2 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Lunch will be provided by the club. Loans of extension ladders would be helpful, officials said.
Additionally, a volunteer plumber is needed to install an outdoor sink.
The Kapa’a Rotary and the Kapa’a Lions clubs are helping with the renovations, and any other community groups or individuals would be welcomed, Boys and Girls Club officials said.
