Located at the Kaua’i Lagoons Resort (the vehicular entrance is the same for the nearby Kaua’i Marriott Resort & Beach Club and Kaua’i Lagoons Golf Club), the spa officially reopened near the end of last year, after massive renovation and refurbishing.
The owners have over 45 years of experience at world-class spas, and have personally trained the staff to their exacting standards, creating a unique combination of European treatments and Hawaiian botanical ingredients.
“Our goal is to share these remarkable therapeutic treatments provided by our talented professional staff and make your Kaua’i experience one you will always remember,” the owners said.
“Ala Lani” means “path to heaven,” and the goal of the professional staff is literally to lift customers onto that skyward path.
The overall physical reconstruction of the spa interior continues, and other ambitious expansion and renovation plans are promised soon, but the spa as operating now offers a well-maintained, luxurious setting and a variety of services available at kama’aina rates.
Mineral whirlpool baths, saunas, eucalyptus steam rooms, showers, lockers, outdoor pool and tennis courts with professional instruction are among the services and amenities offered.
Massages, facials, body wraps, salt-glow scrubs, cellulite-reducing wraps, manicures, pedicures, acrylic nails, body waxing, lash and brow tinting, ear piercing, permanent makeup, rosacea treatments, acne therapy, ear candling and more are offered.
Tennis memberships start at $30 per person per month, and include free use of courts with reservations, and 20 percent discount on all spa services. Russ Grady and Tracy Tucker are the resident tennis professionals.
The party packs are new creations of the spa’s owners, with the deluxe female package including a five-hour party for four people including an hour each of facials and massages per person, plus manicures and pedicures for all.
For the guys, a one-hour massage, plus one-hour, anti-stress back treatment, half-hour reflexology or scalp massage, for a total of a five-hour party for six people, is also available.
Massage professionals practicing Swedish, aromatherapy, deep tissue, sport, lomi lomi, Hawaiian hot stone, reiki, polarity, shiatsu and reflexology techniques are available.
Facials also include a long list of options, with a wide array of nail services as well. Body therapies include coverings like volcanic ash, seaweed, mud, red dirt and more.
A spa boutique is stocked with personal skin care products, as well as tennis products. Gift certificates are available for all spa treatments and tennis offerings.
The spa is open seven days a week from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., and although appointments are suggested walk-ins are welcome. For more information, please call 245-3323.
