Kaua’i Police are seeking help finding a man who assaulted a housekeeper with a pocket knife Friday afternoon at the Kaua’i Marriott Resort and Beach Club.
The stabbing took place at about 12:45 p.m.
The housekeeper, who suffered minor hand injuries, discovered a Caucasian male, mid to late 50s, with a slim build and wearing a dark blue shirt, brown walking shorts and slippers, in one of the resort’s rooms.
The man, carrying a Walmart bag, claimed to be lost and left the room.
The housekeeper said the suspect returned minutes later with a pocket knife, closed the door and tried to assault the woman.
She grabbed at the knife, then kicked the assailant.
He fled.
