Members of the Kaua’i Senior Golf Club are reminded that the third quarterly tournament is scheduled for September 29 at Wailua Golf Course. Entry forms are available at the course.
Deadline for entry is September 19.
KONG radio to broadcast football
Saturday, the station will broadcast the University of Hawai’i at Nevada beginning at 10 a.m.
Kawaihau community little league meeting
The Kawaihau league will be holding a general membership election on Friday, Sept. 28, from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Kapa’a Neighborhood Center.
Interested candidates should pick up volunteer applications at the Kapa’a ABC store. Deadline for the forms is September 24 by 12 p.m. so that a nomination committee can pre-approve a candidate.
Only paid members in good standing will be allowed to vote or run for office. No children will be allowed inside during the voting process.
Tennis fun festival
A tennis fun festival will be held Sunday, Sept. 23, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Kaua’i Marriott tennis courts. The festival will offer free round-robins; professionals will offer free clinics every hour.
All proceeds from the sale of chili bowls at the event will be used to support the Kaua’i Tennis Association Junior Tennis programs.
