Aloha From Kaua’i – Images and Words of Love and Support is set for Kukui Grove Shopping Center’s center stage and food court area on Wednesday through Friday, 9/19 to 9/21, noon to 4 p.m.
Everyone is invited to come and share their aloha for the friends and families of victims of the New York and Washington tragedies.
“Chalk Talk” stations will be set up where you can do a sidewalk chalk drawing that will be digitally photographed and printed and sent to New York and Washington. Or you can express your sentiments in a message written on large scrolls that will also be sent to these cities. Monetary donations for the relief fund can also be made.
To kick-off the event, Kaua’i entertainer Larry Rivera who recently celebrated his 50th year in show biz, will perform at center stage on Wednesday, Sept. 19, noon to 1 p.m. Other musicians who would like to share their aloha are invited to take the stage following Rivera’s performance. A simple sound system will be provided.
