KGA doing volunteer work at Wailua
The Kaua’i Golf Association will be continuing its Saturday weeding activity on July 14 at Wailua Golf Course.
KGA members took up the cause a couple of weeks ago, and are scheduled to weed every Saturday until August 11 at Wailua. The weeding runs from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and is a volunteer activity.
Participants are reminded to bring their own weeding tools, preferably mini machete-type knives. No picks or hoes.
The KGA is made up of 45 golf clubs with approximately 850 members.

Kaua’i High School pool closed for now
The Kaua’i High School swimming pool will be closed until further notice due to mechanical problems with the pump.
State personnel will contact the County of Kaua’i as soon as the problem is resolved. Questions should be directed to Keala Kai, pool supervisor, at 241-6668.
