The council is heading to the North Shore en masse Wednesday morning, but they aren’t going surfing. The body politic is looking at the issue of beach access.
The current access is damaging his client’s property, says attorney Max Graham, who is representing Steve Long in this matter.
Long has asked that the access be relocated.
Some citizens testifying at Council’s Thursday meeting said the newly proposed access is steeper and more dangerous than the current way to the water.
The matter was on the agenda June 14 at the request of Kaua’i County Mayor Maryanne Kusaka.
The disputed access is one of three to the well-known Secret Beach which on some older maps is still called Kaupea Beach.
