l $1.1 million for the preservation of views around the Lumahai Beach area in the North Shore area.
l $550,000 for the design of a runway apron at Lihu’e Airport and another $51,983 for the design of maintenance baseyard improvements at the airport.
l $327,000 for drainage improvements on Waimea Canyon Drive.
l $153,000 for guardrail and shoulder improvements along Kaumuali’i Highway.
Other major allotments went to the state Department of Transportation, including $1.3 million for construction of a ferry terminal in Honolulu Harbor, nearly $3 million for overseas terminal improvements at Honolulu International Airport, and $9.5 million for road and highway improvements.
