Here are the results from Monday’s action in the County of Kaua’i 17-and-under boys basketball league:
Game 1: Westside Boys 63, Sau Sai Boys 56; Byron Vea scored 21 for Westside; Kwinton Estacio led Sau Sai Boys with 14
Game 2: Waimea 67, Team Faith 31; Austin Alquiza again led Waimea with 16; Shawn Kaoha scored 12 for Team Faith
Game 3: North East 90, Sau Sai Boys 44; Kapu Hendricksen and Jeff Giminez scored 15 for North East; Mark Rodrigues and Jason Kashiwabara paced Sau Sai with 10 each.
Age group track meet this Saturday
The County of Kaua’i Parks & Recreation Division will be coordinating the Eastside Age Group Track Meet Saturday, April 28, at Vidinha Stadium. The event includes kids at schools from Puhi to Hanalei.
Registration will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Events will begin at 1:30 p.m. Age group divisions will include: 7-below, 8-9, 10-11 and 12-13 years old, both boys and girls. Age determination as of December 31, 2000.
Each participant can enter three individual events and run on one relay team. Here are the events that will be offered: Standing broad jump, softball throw, 50-meter dash, 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, 400-meter dash and 400-meter relay.
