The 19th Annual American Youth Soccer Organization’s Kirk Banks Soccer Tournament kicked-off Thursday at Waipio Peninsula Soccer Complex on Oahu.
More than 2,700 participants — ages eight through 18 — were set to put their athletic talents on display March 29 through April 1.
In the mix are East and West Kaua’i teams pining for greatness against teams from around the state. Through one day of competition, the Garden Isle’s representatives have fared quite well.
Here are the results of Thursday’s games that involved Kaua’i teams:
Boys Under-19 (Division 1B): West Kaua’i 3, Kona 0; East Kaua’i 6, North Hawai’i 0
Boys Under-16 (Division 2B): East Kaua’i 1, Hilo1 0; West Kaua’i 1, Puna 1
Boys Under-14 (Division 3B): East Kaua’i 2, Puna 0; West Kaua’i 4, Leeward 2
