Water wisdom - The Garden Island

WITH HELP from Carl Arme, a microbiologist for the Kaua’i County Department of Water, a student checked for pH levels in a water sample Thursday as part of the seventh annual Agricultural and Environmental Awareness Day program at the Kaua’i Agricultural Research Center in Wailua. More than 2,000 students in grades four through seven participated in the day-long event sponsored by the county, University of Hawai’i and Kaua’i County Farm Bureau.
