Erin Hanada was recently named to the Pacific University dean’s list for the fall semester.
Hanada, of Kapa’a, qualified for the dean’s list by completing at least 12 graded hours and maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.7.
Pacific University, located in Forest Grove, Ore., is one of the West’s oldest chartered higher education institutions with more than 2,000 students.
Daryl Springer
Daryl Yumi Leinani Springer recently participated in the 2000 Brown University Fall Dance Recital.
Springer, a junior majoring in American civilization and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. Robert Springer of Koloa, danced in the “Grounding,” an original piece utilizing space and bodies to create visually rich patterns and shapes,” and “Dust Dem (Stampede in Trinidad,” an original dance utilizing colors and hip-hop style to create an active, energized piece.

Brandon Tatemichi
Brandon P. Tatemichi recently graduated from Heald College with a grade point average of 3.79.
A 1999 graduate of Kaua’i High School and son of Lorna and Peter Alisna of Puhi, Tatemichi earned an associate’s degree in applied science of electronics technology and plans to work for KLA-Tencor in California as a technical engineer assistant.
Heald College is located in Honolulu.
