the emergency room failed.
The victim was a 22-year-old Hanapepe man,
according to hospital officials. His name was being withheld this morning
pending notification of relatives.
The unofficial cause of death, according
to police, was “apparent drowning.” They had released no other information by
this morning.
This is the 11th drowning reported this year on Kaua’i, one
less than last year’s drowning count.
There have been more than 50
drownings off Kaua`i’s beaches since 1995.
