JUST A FEW HOURS before being sworn in as the new Deputy Police Chief of the Kaua`i Police Department, William Ihu gets some help from Sergeant Henry Barriga distributing Holiday goodies to about 130 PRIDE program students at Waimea Canyon School Friday afternoon. Ihu and Barriga were instrumental in helping officer Darla Abbatiello keep the program working. Other community volunteers contributing to the Holiday gathering of thanks include Kurt Toma of Big Save, Inc., and Grace Kitabayashi of Ishihara Market.
