The island and sets built by the movie crew will serve as sVenezuela, where the “Dragonfly” script calls for the wife of Costner’s character – a doctor – to disappear on a medical mercy mission and he learns about her fate through the near-death experiences of his patients.
Already rich in moviemaking history, Kaua’i happily is yet again the place for potential cinema magic and the accompanying economic windfall of a cast and crew setting up temporary residence.
