Evelyn Cook’s quotes of the Bible to argue against homosexuality (Dec. 5, “Arguments against homosexuality are in the Bible”) are in the Bible, but the Bible also appears to endorse a father’s right to force his virginal daughters into prostitution.

Apparently, the men of Sodom were bent upon having sex with two angels (presumably male) staying at Lot’s house, and if Evelyn Cook is accurately quoting the Bible, Lot said, “No, my friends. Don’t do this wicked thing. Look, I have two daughters who have never slept with a man. Let me bring them out to you, and you can do what you like with them.” Is the Bible endorsing fathers pimping their daughters to groups of strange men?
It appears the Bible is almost like a Rorschach ink blot used by bigots of all persuasions to oppress women, slaves, inter-racial marriages and homosexuals.
