Harry James is 86 years old and lives alone in an elderly housing complex.
Over the years, he has worked at different places trying to supplement his
small Social Security income. Without family support here on the island, he
works to help make ends meet, having to pay for rent and other living expenses.
In spite of his age, he is not afraid of hard work and does so with a
positive attitude.
He is always appreciative of people’s kindness and
generosity, and it would make the holiday season more special for Harry if he
would receive a gift certificate to purchase groceries or household
items
Family could use gifts
Ms. Alexander is the mother of two
girls (8 and 7) and 1 boy (5). Her part-time employment of three hours daily as
a food aide affords her very little income.
She is attending Kaua’i
Community College part-time and would like to work full-time in the food
industry. She is part of the Welfare to Work Program and receives partial aid
for her children.
Her home is neat but has minimal linen, blanket and
pillows. Any assistance this little family could get in making Christmas a
little merrier would be greatly appreciated.
