weekend churning through the waters at the 21st Pearl City Invitational Swim
Meet.
Swimming in the 11-12 year old age group, Anaya competed in 11
events. He improved on the time he qualified at in nine of those 11. Anaya’s
biggest drop in time came in one of the tougher races at any meet, the 200
freestyle. Anaya came in with a qualifying time of 2 minutes, 34.79 seconds. He
bettered that by over 20 seconds, swimming a 2:13.87 and finishing fifth
overall at that distance.
