Florentino D. SalesFlorentino D. Sales, long time resident of Kaua’i,
Hawai’i, died on Nov. 21, 2000, at San Nicholas, Ilocos Norte, Philippines, at
the age of 85.
Funeral services will be at San Nicolas, Ilocos Norte,
Philippines.
Born on Oct. 15, 1915, at Bacarra, Ilocos Norte, Philippines,
he was a retired carpenter by profession at Kaua’i, Hawaii.
He is survived
by his wife, Narciso B. Sales; one son: Anthony (Francis) Sales of Puhi,
Kaua’i; two daughters – Naty Sales (Bobby) Bumanglag of Puhi, Kaua’i, and Amy
Sales Badua of Puhi, Kaua’i; and 12 grandchildren, and 16 great
grandchildren.
Also surviving is one sister, Vicenta Sales Aggasid of
Chicago, Ill.; and nephew Dr. Manuel Ramones of Bacarra, Ilocos Norte,
Philippines.

Kenneth “Choch”
Hesapene, of Kekaha, Kauai, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Nov.
21, 2000, at the age of 42.
Born in Waimea, Kauai, on Dec. 21, 1957, he was
a retired Master Sergeant with the U.S. Air Force.
He is survived by his
parents: Magua and Corazon Hesapene; three brothers: Dean (Juno) Hesapene of
San Diego, Calif., Marvin (Iris) Hesapene of Hanapepe, Kaua’i, David (Camille)
Hesapene of Hanapepe, Kaua’i; three sisters: Verna (Mike) Kirsch of San Diego,
Calif., Sharon (Byron) Ariola of Lihue, Kaua’i, Audrey (Steve) Franco of
Kekaha, Kaua’i; numerous uncles, aunts, niece,s nephews and
cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 27, at
St. Theresa’s Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Larry will begin at 3
p.m. followed by burial at Kaua’i Veterans cemetery in Hanapepe. Casual attire
is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary,
Ltd.
Antone Rapozo
Antone Freitas Rapozo of Honolulu, HI, died
Nov. 20, 2000, at Hale Ho Aloha Intermediate Care Facility at the age of
96.
A retired school teacher, he was born July 28, 1904, in Lihu’e,
Kaua’i.
He is survived by daughters, Pat Rapozo and Sylvia (Frank) Rapozo;
brothers, Lucas (Daisy) Rapozo and Albert (Genieve) Rapozo; sister, Marie
Bertrand; three grandchildren; and two great grandchildren.
Visitation is
from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, at Star of the Sea Church on O’ahu;
Mass will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m.; burial to follow at Diamond Head
Memorial Park. The family asks that flowers be omitted. Casual attire is
suggested.
Arrangements are being handled by Diamond Head Mortuary.
