She is survived by: two daughters: Sharon Daniels of Oregon
and Hollace Chung of Lawai, Kauai; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren;
and numerous cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m. on
Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Lihu’e Lutheran Church; service officiated by Pastor
Paul will begin at 10 a.m. followed by burial at the church cemetery. Casual
attire is suggested.

Juanita Sialana
Juanita Sialana of Pearl City,
O’ahu, died Nov. 8, 2000, at St. Francis Hospital at the age of 87.
She was
born Nov. 5, 1913, in Kekaha, Kaua’i.
She is survived by sons, Arnold
Delima, Richard Sialana, Christopher (Betty) Sialana, Rodney (Genevieve)
Sialana and Kanoi Sialana; daughters, Cecilia (Orville) Thiel, Rose Sialana,
Cornelia (Wayne) Taylor, Jessica Danehey, Beverly (Dennis) Hutchinson, Phyllis
Sialana, Apryle (Alton) Fujiasaki and Tamera (Michael) Faumina; 28
grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; brothers, Jose Alvarez and Sergio
Alvarez; sisters, Petra Sialana, Mary Adams and Maria Peros; sister-in-law,
Martha Kruse.
Casual attire is suggested. Visitation is from 1 p.m. to 3
p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17, at St. Theresa Catholic Church-Kekaha, Kaua’i. Mass
will be at 3 p.m. with burial to follow at Kekaha Public
Cemetery.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i
Mortuary.
Vernon Burton
Vernon Allen Burton of Waimea, Kauai, died
Nov. 11, 2000, at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 69.
A
minister and U.S. Army veteran, he was born Jan. 8, 1931, in Illinois.
He
is survived by two sons: Gary (Stacia) Burton and Joshua (Erika) Burton, both
of Hilo; two daughters: Dorothy (Thayne) Burton-Duarte and Betty (Milton)
Kalai, both of Hilo; one sister: Betty Sandine of Illinois; three
grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for
Thursday, Nov. 16, at the Kaua’i Veterans Cemetery pavilion in Hanapepe from 9
a.m. Services to be celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial will be at Kaua’i Veterans
Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by
Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
