For Kauaians living in and around Kapa’a, Kekaha and Kilauea who don’t like the
way the county spends their tax money or have a pet project they think needs
funding, now’s their chance to say their piece to the mayor in their own
neighborhoods.
Mayor Maryanne Kusaka and her “cabinet” (department heads,

“This will be an opportunity for us to
find out” what citizens would like included in the next county budget, Kusaka
said. “We hope our residents will take the time to participate.”
The first
meeting is slated for Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. at Kapa’a Neighborhood
Center.
Two more meetings next week will be:
l Nov. 13 at 6 p.m. at
Kekaha Neighborhood Center.
l Nov. 14 at 6 p.m. at Kilauea Neighborhood
