“Nalu” Kainalu Isamu Akita-Nakagawa of Kihei, Maui, died Oct. 14, 2000, at Maui
Memorial Medical Center, on Oct. 14, 2000, at the age of 7.
Born Oct. 10,
1993, in Lihu’e, Kaua’i, he was a member of Hope Chapel Awanas Club, Kihei
AYSO, and Kihei Little League.
He is survived by his parents, Eric and
Karene Nakagawa of Kihei, Maui; brother, Chase Nakagawa, of Kihei, Maui;
paternal grandparents: Norman and Jean Nakagawa of O’ahu; maternal
grandparents: Dana and Marjorie Akita of Kaua’i uncles and aunts, Dale (Becky)
Akita of Kaua’i, Joe (Nylene) Akita of O’ahu, Dan Akita of O’ahu, Leinani Akita
of Kaua’i, and Lori (Jon) Serakawa of O’ahu.
Viewing will be held at
Norman’s Chapel on Friday, Oct. 20, from 1 p.m. with a service at 2 p.m.
A
memorial service will follow at Hope Chapel Kihei from 4 p.m. to 6
p.m.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are being handled by

Katsuki Yokotake
Katsuki Yokotake of
Waipahu and formerly of Waimea, Kaua’i, died Oct. 9, 2000, at St. Francis
Medical Center West at the age of 76.
A retired Allied Construction
Carpenter Foreman, he was born April 30, 1924, in Waimea, Kaua’i.
He is
survived by his wife: Shizue H. Yokotake; sons: Alvin M. Yokotake of Waipahu
and Lane S. Yokotake of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; daughter: Jan R. (Mark) Ohta of
Honolulu; one grandson; brothers: Fujito Yokotake of Honolulu, Matsuki Yokotake
of California, Takeshi Yokotake, Mutsuo Yokotake, and Ronald Yokotake, all of
Honolulu and Floyd Yokotake of Washington; and sisters: Kimie Ishihara of
Waimea, Kaua’i, Toshiko Braga of California and Haruyo Yokotake of
Honolulu.
Services will be at noon Saturday, Oct. 21, at Hosoi Garden
Mortuary on O’ahu. The family suggests casual attire and that flowers be
omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Hosoi Garden Mortuary, Inc.

A celebration of the life of the Rev. Donald Hiroshi
Fujiyoshi, 97, of Honolulu will be held at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 21, at the
Manoa Valley Church.
Born in Lahaina, Maui, he died Oct. 14, 2000. He was
a retired minister of the United Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife,
Lily, sons Ronald and Miles, both of Hilo; daughter, Elaine Ki’ilehua; sister
Harue Tokioka, 6 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren. Aloha attire is
suggested. A reception will follow.
