Alfredo Eclipse, Sr. Alfredo “Pidong” Eclipse Sr., of Kekaha, Kauai, died at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Oct. 11, 2000, at the age of 91. Born in Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Aug. 14, 1909, he was a store clerk with

at Kauai Veterans Memorial Hospital on Oct. 11, 2000, at the age of 91. Born in
Ilocos Norte, Philippines on Aug. 14, 1909, he was a store clerk with Kekaha
Store.
He is survived by: one son: Alfredo “Sonny” (Gloria) Eclipse Jr. of
California; five daughters: Dolores “Dolly” (Elton) Gregory of Oregon, Gloria
(Bonifacio) Quinto of Washington State, Nena (Jeremy) Postmus of O’ahu, Linda
(David) McDannel of California, and Lillian “Lani” Eclipse of Kekaha, Kauai; 19
grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one brother: Leleng Eclipse of the
Philippines; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with
the family at 2 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 23, at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in
Kekaha, Mass officiated by Father Larry will begin at 3 p.m. followed by burial
at the Kekaha Public cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Matsue Muraoka
Matsue Matsumoto Muraoka, of Koloa, Kauai, died on Oct. 13, 2000 at her home at
the age of 81. She was born on March 21, 1919 in Huleia, Kauai.
She is
survived by: her husband: Mitsugi Muraoka; two sons: Dennis (Sheilah) Muraoka
of Koloa, Kauai, and Eddie (Birdie) Muraoka of Waipahu, O’ahu; four daughters:
Shirley (Del) Harmon of Maine, Ruth Siu of Kalaheo, Kauai, Gladys Muraoka of
Koloa, Kauai, and June (Roger) Muraoka-Jones of Koloa, Kauai; six
grandchildren; Douglas Muraoka of Koloa,
Kauai, Dustin Taguado of Honolulu, O’ahu, Neal
Muraoka of Waipahu, O’ahu, Harrison Muraoka of Honolulu, O’ahu, Carla (Jon)
Kida of Honolulu, O’ahu, and Ben (Jessica) Harmon of Honolulu, O’ahu; one
brother: Shigeru (Marilyn) Matsumoto of Lihue, Kauai; two sisters: Kimie
Okasako of Kapaa, Kauai and Kikue (Harry) Tomokiyo of Honolulu, O’ahu.
Friends may visit with the family at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22, at the
Koloa Jodo Mission; service officiated by Rev. Ishikawa will begin at 11 a.m.
Casual attire is suggested.

died at Hale Omao Care Home on Oct. 12, 2000, at the age of 83.
Born in
Ilo Ilo, Philippines on June 7, 1917, she is survived by: three sons: Doroteo
Dela Cruz of Camp 6, Makaweli, Kauai, Tony (Primativa) Domingo of Waimea,
Kauai, and Francisco “Unkay” (Lorita) Domingo of Pauoa Valley, O’ahu; one
daughter: Florentina “Flora” (Maxie) Moreno of Kekaha, Kauai; 28
grandchildren; 64 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren;
son-in-law: Boni Garma of Eleele, Kauai; daughter-in-law: Lourdes Domingo of
Kekaha, Kauai.
Friends may visit with the family at 1 p.m. on Tuesday,
Oct. 24, at the St. Theresa Catholic Church in Kekaha; mass officiated by
Father Larry will begin at 3 p.m. Followed by burial at the Kekaha public
