Mauricio Fabro Sr. Mauricio Cuaresma Fabro, Sr. of Kapa’a, formerly of ‘Ele’ele, passed away on Oct. 5, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 86. A laborer for Kaua’i Pineapple Co., he was born on Jan. 27, 1914
Mauricio Fabro Sr. Mauricio Cuaresma Fabro, Sr. of Kapa’a, formerly of
‘Ele’ele, passed away on Oct. 5, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age
of 86.
A laborer for Kaua’i Pineapple Co., he was born on Jan. 27, 1914 in
Tagudin Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years,
Nina Quartero Fabro of Kapa’a; two daughters: Priscilla (Edward) Banasihan and
Maurina (Larry) Borgatti, both of Kapa’a; one son: Mauricio “Bo” (Emily) C.
Fabro, Jr. of Kapa’a; hanai-son: Melvin (Marie) Damasco of Hanapepe; 15
grandchildren: Paula (Jerome) Dotimas of ‘Ele’ele, Andrea Land of Wailua,
Christopher (Feve) Banasihan of ‘Ele’ele, Edward Banasihan, Jr. of Wisconsin,
Elisha and Karmel Banasihan, both of Kapa’a, Fred (Dorean) Pancho, Jr., of
Puhi, Cedric Pancho of California, Sherianne Pancho of Florida, Matthew Pancho
fo Kapa’a, Mauricio Fabro, III and Erin Fabro of Kapa’a, Wendell H. K. Bermoy
and Aaron James Mariani of Hanapepe, Kisha Rivera of Lawai; 10
great-grandchildren: Sharnelle, Isaiah, and Lacey Dotimas of ‘Ele’ele, Joshua
and Chelsie Banasihan, Ashley Kahalekai, and Keisha Land of Wailua, Christel
and Isaac Banasihan of ‘Ele’ele and Shaniece Banasihan of Kapa’a, Joshua and
Chelsie. Also surviving are numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends
may visit with the family Friday, Oct. 13 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel
from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Services officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 10
a.m. Burial to follow at the Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is
suggested and flowers omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island
Mortuary, Ltd.
