Mauricio Fabro Sr. Mauricio C. Fabro, Sr. of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, formerly of
‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i, died on Oct. 5, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age
of 86. A laborer with Kaua’i Pineapple Co., he was born on Jan. 27, 1914 in
Tagudin Ilocos Sur, Philippines.
He is survived by his wife Nina Fabro of
Kapa’a; one son: Mauricio “Bo” (Emily) C. Fabro, Jr. of Kapa’a; two daughters:
Priscilla (Edward) Banasihan of Kapa’a and Maurina (Larry) Borgatti of Kapa’a;
14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; hanai-son: Melvin (Marie) Damasco of
Hanapepe; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with
the family at 9 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 13 at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel.
Services officiated by Father Keahi will begin at 10 a.m., followed by burial
at the Kaua’i Memorial Gardens.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers
omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island Mortuary,
Ltd.
Belva Tandal
Belva “Bea” Paaluhe Tandal of Laupahoehoe, Big
Island, died on Oct. 5, 2000, at Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age
of 72. She was born on April 13, 1928 in Laupahoehoe, Big Island.
She is
survived by two sons: Randolph (Debora) Tandal, Jr., of Wai’anae, O’ahu, and
George (Rhonda) Tandal of Kapa’a,; three daughters: Arlene Maurice of Kekaha,
Evalani Kum of ‘Aiea, O’ahu and April (Ross) Simeona of Ha’iku, Maui; ten
grandchild; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Funeral services will be held in Honolulu at a later date.
