Kuhio highway and down a cliff in the Waikolu area.

36-year-old Kalaheo man was arrested and charged with DUI.

1:30 a.m. A security officer reported three vehicles were parked by the
Kaua`i High School gymnasium and that several individuals were running around
the campus.
10:20 a.m. A Kekaha woman reported sighting a shark at Kekaka
beach.
11:47 a.m. A Kapa`a woman reported her son had been threatened with
a bow and arrow.
12:08 p.m. A 55-year-old Hanamaulu man was arrested and
charged with felony extortion.
4:25 p.m. An anonymous female caller
reported two men having an afternoon fistfight in the Wal-Mart parking
lot.
4:56 p.m. A female shopper reported her purse stolen from her shopping
cart at Safeway.
8:23 p.m. A Kapa`a man reported a neighbor’s pig in his
yard on Kanepoonui Road.
8:37 p.m. An anonymous caller reported that a
male subject had been assaulted near a business in Nawiliwili and that he
needed medical assistance.
11:20 p.m. A 38-year-old Hanapepe man was
arrested and charged with DUI.

12:05 a.m. A 22-year-old
Kapa`a man was arrested on two counts of theft and a charge of unauthorized
entry into a motor vehicle.
Oct. 4
3:20 a.m. A Hanamaulu man
called police to report that two meteors had landed in trees at Lydgate Park.
He said he wanted “to stake his claim’ to the meteors.
