2000, at Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital at the age of 72.
Born May 24,
1928, in the Philippines, he was a heavy equipment operator with the sugar
industry for McBryde and also served in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by
his wife: Lourdes Planas of ‘Ele’ele; six sons: Darrell (Poopsie) Planas of
Maui, David Planas of Kaumakani, John (Linda) Planas and Terence (Tracy)
Planas, both of Lihu’e, Alvin Planas of Wailua and Louis Planas of ‘Ele’ele;
three daughters: Clarissa (Dino) Barrozo of Maui, Karen (Warren) Rita and Mona
Planas, both of ‘Ele’ele; 15 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three
sisters: Dolores Domenden of California, Maggie (Marcelino) Padilla of
Hanapepe; and Josephine Stone of Honolulu; one brother: Gregorio (Aurora)
Planas of Kaumakani; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation
is scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 5, at Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel from 6
p.m. to 9 p.m. with service at 7 p.m. Visitation is also scheduled on Friday,
Oct. 6, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Kalaheo from 8 a.m., services to be
celebrated at 10 a.m. Burial to follow at Kaua’i Veterans Cemetery in
Hanapepe.
Casual attire is suggested and that flowers be omitted.
Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.

Baldwin
Myrna Lynn Baldwin went to be with her Lord on Sept. 23, 2000, from
Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of 60.
She is the beloved mother of one
son, Denis Bradley Baldwin; she is also survived by her sister and friend Donna
Blaeholder; her “big brother”-in-law Kenneth Blaeholder; her nephew David
Blaeholder, wife Debra and great nieces Michelle, Stephanie and Nicole of Maui;
her great nephew Chris of Louisiana; her nephew Steven, great nephew Jonah and
great niece Andrea of California; her niece Vicki, husband Michael and great
niece Jenna of California.
She will be greatly missed by the many who knew
and loved her. Arrangements are being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary. A
memorial service will take place in Maui at a later date.
