In the boys under-14 division, the Waimea (A) Thugs defeated the Hanlei
Warriors 6-0 Sept. 23. Thugs’ goals were registered by Joshua Cabral (3), Tyler
Cruse, Kollin Morikawa and James Henriques.
In the girls under-14 division,
the Kalaheo Girls Who Kick blanked the Wailua Wind Racers 3-0. Goals were
scored by Chandra Desmarais (2) and Kelsea Reich.
In an under-12 girls
contest, the Kilauea Green Extreme and Hanalei Sand Girls battled to a 2-2 tie.
Kilauea goals were scored by Kirsty Daily and Lena McRoberts. Hanalei’s goals
came courtesy of Jenny Ka’amoana.
In boys under-6 action, the Lihu’e Rhinos
and Lihu’e Bulls tangled. Kameron Perez and Michael Curnan scored for the
Rhinos. Kellen Aquino netted the Bulls’ only score.
Outstanding Rhinos were
Kai Adachi, Joshua Mendez, Sean Russell and Koa Yamamoto. Outstanding Bulls
were Cory Kashima, Dillon Stone, Mikal Moranz and Micah Fernandez.
In an
unknown division, the Wailua Little Mermaids and Kapa’a Rainbow Angels battled.
Goal scorers for Wailua were Makana Fujimoto (3), Michelle LaMadrid (3), Tori
Pezario (3) and Caitlyn Rapozo (2). For the Rainbow Angels, Joy Claypoole and
Gabrielle Simeona found the back of the net.
