Jr. of Lihu’e, Kauai; three grandchildren; his mother: Trinidad Fernandez of
Hanamaulu, Kaua’i; three brothers: Melvin (Marilyn) Fernandez of Lihu’e,
Kaua’i, Anthony (Alicia) Fernandez of Kapa’a, Kauai, Colin Fernandez of
Hanamaulu, Kaua’i; three sisters: Norma Fernandez of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, Esmenia
(Franklin) Hiraoka of Hanama’ulu, Kaua’i, Peggy (Scott) Keough of Lihu’e,
Kaua’i; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends may
visit with the family at 9 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 30, at the Immaculate
Conception Catholic Church; Mass officiated by Father Alex Pablo will begin at
11 a.m. Followed by burial at Kauai Memorial Gardens. Casual attire is
suggested.

Robert Naito
Robert “Sonny” Yoshiharu Naito of Nawiliwili,
Kaua’i, died Sept. 21, 2000, at Wilcox Memorial Hospital at the age of
73.
A truck driver for Kaua’i Commercial, he was born Jan. 19, 1927, in
Nawiliwili, Kaua’i.
He is survived by his wife: Kay “Kiku” Naito of
Nawiliwili; one daughter: Karol Leimomi (Mike) Huddleston of Texas; one sister:
Patsy (Kaipo) Asing of Lihu’e; two brothers: Ralph (Genevieve) Naito and
Lincoln “Butch” Naito, both of O’ahu; his buddy: Kenneth Naito of Lihu’e; three
grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends and family may
call on Wednesday, Sept. 27, at Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary Chapel in Koloa from
9:30 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Burial
to follow at Lihu’e Public Cemetery.
Casual attire is suggested.

Taniguchi
Kathrine “Kay” Taniguchi of Kekaha, Kauai, died at home on Sept.
21, 2000, at the age of 83.
Born in Kekaha, Kaua’i on Oct. 5, 1916, she is
survived by: son: Daryl (Marlene) Taniguchi of ‘Ele’ele, Kaua’i; two
grandchildren: Jayson Taniguchi & Erin Taniguchi both of Honolulu, O’ahu; three
brothers: Thomas (Evelyn) Arakaki of Honolulu, O’ahu, Stanley (Loretta) Arakaki
of Honolulu, O’ahu, David (Helen) Arakaki of Torrance, Calif.; sister: Betsy
(Minoru) Sakai of Los Angeles, Calif.; numerous nieces and nephews.

Kentaro Kabazawa
Kentaro Kabazawa of Lihu’e, Kaua’i, formerly
of of Waimea, died at home on Sept. 18, 2000, at the age of 78.
Born in
Waimea, Kauai on Oct. 24, 1921, he was a retired Sales Representative with
Waimea Dairy and Meadow Gold.
He is survived by: his wife: Yoshie Kabazawa
of Lihue, Kauai; son: Jerry (Lynn) Kabazawa of Puhi, Kauai; two daughters:
Verna (Harold) Mikaru and Iris (Roy Yamashita) Kabazawa, both of Honolulu,
O’ahu; four grandchildren; two brothers: Kinjiro (Tomiko) Kabazawa of Kalaheo,
Kaua’i and Kiyoshi (Flora) Kabazawa of Honolulu, O’ahu; three sisters: Carolyn
(Kenneth) Omoto of Honolulu, Oahu, Sadie (Richard) Doi of Hanapepe Hts., Kauai
and Sumie Quiriault of Las Vegas, Nev.; numerous nieces and nephews.
