I am pleased to commit my support to the Kaua’i Monk Seal Watch Program. This
group of dedicated professionals and volunteers have assisted our entire island
community in the successful birth and weaning of a monk seal at Po’ipu Beach,
and continue to protect another newborn pup on our south shore.
Such a task
is a difficult undertaking and requires the cooperation of all residents and
visitors on Kaua’i. Please support the efforts of the Kaua’i Monk Seal Watch
Program to educate our community, and especially our visitors, about the
importance of protecting endangered wildlife.
Kauai’s environment is
fragile and precious. Let’s all do our part to preserve it for generations to
come.
