Wanini, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 30, 2000, at the age
of 71.
Born in Ha’ena, Kaua’i on Sept. 6, 1928, he was a United States
Army Veteran and retired Hydro Plant Supervisor with McBryde Sugar Co.
He
is survived by: his wife: Tanya Hashimoto of Wanini Beach, Kauai; four
daughters: Junedale Ualani Hashimoto of Wanini Beach, Jodi Keala (Patrick) Omo
of Anahola, Kauai, Natasya (Gary) Gundersen of Kilauea Farms, Kauai, Jhona
(Bill) Briant of Encinitas, Calif., six grandchildren, one great-grandchild;
three brothers: George (Helen) Hashimoto of San Francisco, Calif., Thomas
(Annie) Hashimoto of Kilauea, Kauai, and Joseph (Wanda) Hashimoto of Hanalei,
Kauai; sister: Violet Goto of Haena, Kauai; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Service officiated by Kahu Richard Kamano will begin
at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 9, at the Wanini (Anini) Beach Park. Casual attire
is suggested.
