Kaua’i, died Aug. 23, 2000, in the Northcoast Fulton Road Rehabilitation
facility, after a lengthy illness.
She is survived by her husband of 54
years, Dr. Robert J. Hamblin of Santa Rosa, three sons, Jonathan of Honolulu,
Stephen of Littleton, Colo., and Peter of New York City; her sister, Janice
Flood of Ohio; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Christopher and Hayley. A
resident of Oakmont for the past 10 years, she and her husband moved to Santa
Rosa after his retirement from a surgical practice in Hawai’i. They first spent
two years at the Hospital Albert Schweitzer in Haiti, then after a few years in
California moved to Kaua’i in 1968.
At her request, there will be no
funeral service, and her ashes will be scattered at a future time when the
family can be together. For those who wish to make contributions in her memory,
the family asks that they be made to The Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital
Foundation, for the Palliative Care Center, 1111 Sonoma Avenue, Ste. 302, Santa
Rosa, Calif. 95405.
Arrangements were handled by Daniels Chapel of the
Roses Funeral Home and Crematory.
