Born in Hanama’ulu,
Kaua’i on Nov. 10, 1909, he was a retired Supervisor with the Lihu’e

He is survived by: his wife: Kimiyo Fujimoto of Lihu’e, Kaua’i;
two sons: Patrick (Linda) Fujimoto of Mililani, O’ahu, Michael (Radine)
Fujimoto of Honolulu, O’ahu; daughter-in-law: Cathy Fujimoto of Granada Hills,
Calif., five grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Friends
may visit with the family at 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 1, at the Lihu’e Hongwanji
Mission; service officiated by Rev. Yukiko Motoyoshi will begin at 5 p.m.
Casual attire is suggested and flowers omitted.

Reynolds Horswill
Reynolds
David “Buddy” Horswill, of Kekaha, Kaua’i, died at home on Aug. 24, 2000, at
the age of 78. Born in Lihu’e, Kaua’i on Dec. 12, 1921, he was a professional
tile setter for 30 years.
He is survived by: two sons: Reynolds “Skip”
(Harriet) Horswill of Kailua, O’ahu, and Raynold “Scott” Horswill of Kailua,
O’ahu; four daughters: Renee “Sandy” (Anthony) Aguiar of Kekaha,
Kaua’i, Rhonda Thompson of Kaneohe, O’ahu, Jasmine
Ehret of Elks Grove, Calif., Robin (Kai) Kalama of Kailua, O’ahu, 21
grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother: Arthur (Mitzi) Horswill of
Maui; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Service will be held at a
later date in Honolulu.
Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island
Mortuary, Ltd.
Yoshito Sugano
Yoshito “Louis” Sugano of Koloa died at
Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 25, 2000, at the age of 86.
An automobile
mechanic, e was born at Kukuiula, Kaua’i on Nov. 7, 1913.
He is survived by
his wife: Doris Sugano of Lihu’e, sons: Albert (Amy) Sugano of Oregon and
Russell Sugano of Kapa’a, sisters: Ayako (Kanichi) Funamura of Koloa, Miyako
Kure of Koloa and Sueko (George) Ishibashi of Po’ipu.
Also surviving are
brothers: Joe Katsuto (May) Sugano of O’ahu, Steve Hiroto (Tsuneko) Sugano of
Oahu and James Yasuto (Frances) Sugano of Oahu. There are numerous nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Services will be on Monday, Aug. 28, at the Koloa
Union Church at 4 p.m. Inurment will be held privately at a later
date.
