Miles of Honolulu, O’ahu; four brothers: Lambert (Pearl) Paaoao, O’ahu, Austin
(Mary) Miles, and Mitchell (Winifred) Miles, all of Honolulu, O’ahu, and
Richard (Terry) Miles of Arizona; four sisters: Gail (Warner) Shultz of
Alaska, Charlene (Robert) Wong of Honolulu, O’ahu, Vienna Miles of California,
and Sarah (Bryan) Hohner of Minnesota; his hanai families, the Smith family of
Kohala, HI and the Kaneholani family of Kaua’i; numerous uncles, aunts, nieces,
nephews and cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 9 a.m.
on Saturday, Aug. 26, at the Garden Island Mortuary Chapel; service officiated
by Pastor Carl Faford will begin at 10 a.m. Interment will be held at a later
date at the Kapa’a Public cemetery. Casual attire is suggested.

Uyesono
Ayako Uyesono, of Lihue, Kaua’i, died at Wilcox Memorial Hospital
on Aug. 18, 2000, at the age of 82.
Born in Hanamaulu, Kaua’i on May 14,
1918, she is survived by: one son: Ronald (Francine) Uyesono of Lihue, Kaua’i
and one daughter: Annette (Duane) Ting of Wailuku, Maui; eight grandchildren;
and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may visit with the family at 4 p.m.
on Thursday, Aug. 24, at the Lihue Hongwanji Mission; service officiated by
Rev. Yukiko Motoyoshi will begin at 5 p.m. Casual attire is suggested and that
flowers be omitted.

Roy N. Yokomoto of Lihue, Kaua’i, died
at Wilcox Memorial Hospital on Aug. 15, 2000, at the age of 91.
Born in
Lawai, Kaua’i on Nov. 14, 1908, he was a retired Office Manager with Garden
Island Motors.
He is survived by: his wife: Mitsue Yokomoto of Lihue,
Kaua’i; two sons: Roy (Jean) Yokomoto, Jr. of West Hills, Calif., and Charles
Yokomoto of Indianapolis, Ind.; one daughter: Ann Tsuzaki of Honolulu, O’ahu;
four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Friends may visit with the family at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug.
26, at the Lihu’e Christian Church; service officiated by Rev. Kevin Page and
Rev. Richard Chun will begin at 2 p.m. Casual attire is suggested.
