LIHU`E—If you can’t wait for the swimming in next month’s Olympics in
Australia, a sneak preview can be seen this weekend at Kaua’i High School’s
pool.
Five Olympians will compete in the Mokihana Aquatics Fun Meet. They
include South Africa’s Simon Trisk, Nick Folker and Renate DePlesson, Matt Kwok
of Hong Kong and Leslie Kwok (no relation) of Singapore.
The
international-caliber entries will compete against swimmers from Kaua’i and
other parts of Hawai’i. Members of University of Hawaii’s team also will be in
the field.
The meet will begin at 9 a.m. on August 5-6. Admission is
free.
