EWA’S shortstop Ian Pantorilla goes high and Aiea’s Brent Asuka goes low as
Asuka tries to get secondbase on a passed ball while Pantorilla goes for the
throw from catcher Jacob Kaku. Aiea broke the 2-2 deadlock in the third
inning and went on to win 8-6 for the state Little League title behind RBI hits
from Jared Gomez and pitcher John Worthington in the third inning. Ramsey
Sakamoto added a solo HR in the fourth. A 3-run Homer by Aaron Gealon iced the
win. Pantorilla smacked a 2-run shot in the first inning to deadlock the
contest. Aiea had solo homers from Matt Young, Lance Powell, Jay Angotti. A
3-run bang from relieving catcher Kyle Ertel in the bottom of the sixth inning
kept Aiea in the ball game, but with two outs, their final batter flied to
centerfield to end the contest 8-6. (Photo by Dennis Fujimoto)
