KAPA`A—Kawaihau Little Leaguers are canvassing the neighborhoods to try and sell tickets for a drawing that will be held during the Little League Majors state tournament to be played at the New Kapa`a Ball Park’s Main Diamond from July 21-27.
KAPA`A—Kawaihau Little Leaguers are canvassing the neighborhoods to try and
sell tickets for a drawing that will be held during the Little League Majors
state tournament to be played at the New Kapa`a Ball Park’s Main Diamond from
July 21-27.
At stake for the Little League solicitors is a new Trek bicycle
that will be presented to the highest number of tickets sold courtesy of John
Tanner of Bicycle John and the Kawaihau Little League program.
Fund raised
during this event will help defray operational costs of the baseball program as
well as procure new equipment needed by the players.
The drawing will be
held on July 23 during the tournament’s opening ceremonies, and a large cache
of prizes will be distributed at that time.
A 7-day at the Cliffs Resort
courtesy of Ralph Kitashima tops the list of prizes that will be given away.

In addition to getting tickets from any one of the numerous Little
League players in both the Minors and Majors program, tickets are available at
Rosa’s Supply in Kapa`a (822-1856), and Kilauea Video (828-0128).
The
Kawaihau Little League program is also asking for volunteers to help with the
upcoming state tournament. There will be a minimum of five teams converging on
the Kapa`a Ball Park Main Diamond and volunteers are needed to help with
housing the teams as well as helping man the food booths.
