Kaua’i children with cancer have a big friend in the Alexander and Baldwin
Fondation.
The foundation donated $3,500 to American Cancer Society to help
pay the way for the children to attend the Camp Anuenue summer program on Oahu.
The program, sponsored by the Cancer Society, gives participants strength and
support through their mutual experiences.
The program, while invaluable for
lifting the spirits of the children, is funded separately from the Cancer
Society’s operating budget. There is also no support from other funding
sources, making Alexander and Baldwin’s generosity all the more important.
