in-between, rebounded to slip past the Puhi Wildcats 32-25 behind the high
point scoring of Misty Hug who ended the night with 12 points at the Kaua`i
High School Gym on Wednesday, July 6.
Larissa Nebre, firing a trey and two
field goals in the second half, topped the Kilauea scoring in the first game
against Kaua`i with 7 points followed by balanced scoring contributions from
Tamra Martin, Randi Fu, Jessica Fuk, and Lahela Yokotake, each player tucking
in a pair.
Kilauea Hui outgunned Kaua`i 6-0 in the final quarter of their
encounter.
The second Kaua`i contest had guard Camy Mizukami picking up
high point honors for the Puhi Wildcats with 6 points followed by Kelly Dennis
and Krystalyn Kashiwabara with 5 points each.
Sasha Sogi fired a pair of
field goals for Puhi in the third quarter when the Wildcats outshot Kaua`i 14-6
as Kelly Dennis and Holly Iloreta joined in the scoring with a 3-pointer
each.
Sara Curnan stepped up her game under the basket to pace the Run ‘N
Gun with 11 points in their 27-15 win over the Boys & Girls Club (Kapa`a).
Taryn Dizon added five points in that victory.
Ashley Farias topped the B
& G Kapa`a scoring with 9 points with Kristi Arinaga, Danielle Hill, and
Tania Tasic each firing a pair.
