isaye Kagawa, of Waimea, Kaua’i, died at her home on June 29, 2000. Born in
Kukuiula, Kaua’i, on April 17, 1919, she was 81 years old at the time of her
death. Mrs. Kagawa was retired from Kaua’i Veterans Memorial Hospital. She is
survived by her son, Glenn (Margaret) Kagawa of Arlington, Va.; daughter, Susan
Miura of Lihu’e, Kaua’i; four grandchildren; three brothers, Charles Tokoshige
of Honolulu, O’ahu; Koichi (Doris) Tokoshige of Honolulu O’ahu; and Tamotsu
Tokoshige of ‘Oma’o, Kaua’i; four sisters, Asae Kawamura of Honolulu, O’ahu;
Misae (Kazuo) Takanishi of Honolulu, O’ahu; Mutsue (Akira) Ogata of Honolulu,
O’ahu; and Gladys (George) Okada of Waimea, Kaua’i; and numerous uncles, aunts,
nieces, nephews and cousins.Friends may visit with the family at 9:30
a.m. on Monday, July 3, 2000 at the Waimea United Church of Christ; service
officiated by Rev. Wendy Tajima will begin at 10:30 a.m. Casual attire is
suggested and flowers omitted. Arrangements are being handled by Garden Island
Mortuary, Ltd.
