KALAHEO—Sheila Ramos, Chantelle Briones, Lexine Valenciano, and Rochelle
Garvida combined for 24 points to lead the Kaumakani Supersonics to their 36-10
win over Kuhio Motors in Friday night’s 12&Under Girls basketball action played
at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center before an enthusiastic audience of parents,
friends, and supporters.
Sharla Shimono and Joanna Jacinto contributed 4

Sandi Makepa paced the Kuhio Motors
squad with 8 points followed by Kanoe Woodward who tucked in a pair.
A
missed free throw opportunity by Kaumakani in the first quarter had the score
deadlocked 2-2 at the end of the period after which the Supersonics erupted for
the remaining three periods enroute to their victory.
With two players
occupied with the annual Hoikaika volleyball tournament that was taking place
in Waimea, Kaua`i Fire A/C Raiders relied on step-up performances from the rest
of the squad as Mei-Ling Keopuhiwa paced the 24-4 victory over the Hanapepe
RefuG’s with 6 points followed by Shanlyn Ibaan with 4 points.
Chasen
Sherman and Brandee Abuan combined for 4 points for the Hanapepe
RefuG’s.
