Kaumakani, Kaua`i Fire take latest KYBA girls 12 & Under hoops

KALAHEO—Joanna Jacinto and Nalinee Pickop led their teams to victory in the

latest go-round for the girls 12 & Under basketball games hosted by the

Kaua`i Youth Basketball Association at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center on

Monday evening.

Jacinto’s 10 markers for the Kaumakani Supersonics came in

the first half as the team under the coaching of Fran Raguidin soared past the

Hanapepe RefuG’s 32-4.

Chasen Sherman and Lacey Dotimas accounded for the

Hanapepe scores.

Nalinee Pickop paced the Kaua`i Fire A/C Raiders to a

28-10 showing against the Kuhio Motors squad in the second contest of the

night.

Sandi Makepa had high-point honors for Kuhio Motors with 4

points.

The girls take to the concrete again on Friday night at the Kalaheo

Neighborhood Center with a double-header, the first contest tipping off at 6:30

p.m. and the second contest tipping off at 7:30 p.m.
