65-57 win over the Hanapepe Dream Team during Thursday night’s 17 & Under
basketball league played at the Kalaheo Neighborhood Center.
The Dream Team
had three players in double figures, Bronson Balisno (18), Jesse Erese (13),
and Joe Kamai (11), but the effort fell short.
Kapu Hendrickson and Jeffery
Gimenez broke loose for the Kapa`a High squad as they downed On Fire 71-65 in
the evening’s second contest. Hendrickson led the effort with 24 points while
Gimenez tucked in 23 points in the win.
On Fire had three players in double
digit scoring as Mason Ceria led the way with 19 points, RJ Pillos adding 13,
and Lionel Tomacder contributing 11 points in the loss.
