Mrs. Morita is survived by two sons: Gary (Sharon) Morita of
Kalaheo and Roy (Marion) Morita of Lihu’e; one daughter: Joyce (Willie)
Salvador of San Francisco, Calif.; five grandchildren, one great grandchild;
one brother: Henry (Millie) Sasaki of Lihu’e; four sisters: Nora Tada, Flora
Cox Mary Takiguchi, all of Lihu’e, and Helen Pruitt of Georgia; numerous
nieces, nephews, cousins.
Casual attire is suggested. Arrangements are
being handled by Garden Island Mortuary.

Silva Carvalho of Kapa’a, Kaua’i, died at her home on Easter Sunday, April 23,
2000, at the age of 86.
A retired custodian for the State Government with
Kapaa High and Elementary Schools, she was born Sept. 25, 1913, in Kealia,
Kauai.
She is survived by three sons: Stanley (Eleanor) Carvalho of Kapa’a,
Bernard (Joyce) Carvalho of Wailua Homesteads, and Glenn (Ruth) Carvalho of
Wailua Homesteads; two daughters; Yvonne (Wayne) Camat of Kapa’a and Beverly
(Norman) Holt of Kekaha; five sisters: Mary Rocha of Hilo, Clementina Garcia,
Virginia Rosa, Emily Rapozo, and Josephine Chansky, all of Kapa’a; two
brothers: Alfred D. Silva of Kapa’a and Frank (Barbara) Silva of Las Vegas; 17
grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and
cousins.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, at St. Catherine’s
Catholic Church in Kapa’a from 9 a.m. with Mass to be celeb rated at 11 a.m.
Burial to follow at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church Cemetery. Father David will
celebrate the Mass.
The family suggests casual attire. Arrangements are
being handled by Borthwick/Kaua’i Mortuary.
